Flip Flops Philippines

"Flip Flops for the Philippines"

December 2 - December 6th, Linden, Forest, Ridgewood Avenue School & the Glen Ridge High School joined hands for a united Little Hands Connected Typhoon Relief Mission.  All four schools collected flip flops and summer crocs to help the children and families of the Philippines protect their feet from the dangerous debris that has been left behind by Typhoon Haiyan.

We are still in the process of collecting the generous donations, but are estimating more than 400 pairs of flip flops and crocs have been collected through this united effort.  This is a another wonderful example of "If everyone does a little, as a team, we can do A LOT!"

We'd like to take a moment to give a special thank you to everyone who made this mission possible...  Thank you to the school Principals for approving the "Flip Flops for the Philippines" Mission, to the H&S for helping to spread the word, Julie for helping to create the flip flop flyer, Parents & Students for your generous donations, Alex, Jordan, Abby & Ollie for helping to create donation boxes, Ali for assisting with this mission, Daniela & Global Cargo for giving us a way to get our donations directly where they need to go!

This is a another wonderful example of "If everyone does a little, as a team, we can do A LOT!"

Thank you to everyone who participated...
made a difference!

Parents & Students: New, and Like-new flip flops and crocs are still welcome!  Please be sure that you rubber band them together and that they are in good condition. We will be continuing to collect flip flops and other donations in the schools this week.  A list of needed donations can be found under our Typhoon Relief Mission link under the Q&A section.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Sheri at
Thank you!
